WALB feature on Hometown Furniture's Hurricane Efforts

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Hometown Furniture formerly Badcock Home Furniture &more of Valdosta opened its doors to the community, and not for furniture.

It became a place to charge phones, take showers and even get a nap in.

Angel Burkett, Hometown Furniture Valdosta Operations Manager says, “We let them come in, air, charge their phones, we’re about to feed them till we run out of food, just doing what we like to do, giving back tot he community, when we can’t do anything else we control the things we can, when we take care of the community, the community will take care of you.”

The business also gave out food to those in need.
